MAHBUBNAGAR: The current by-elections would not lead to creation of a separate state but help KCR’s family make money, said TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu who began electioneering here on Saturday. Addressing roadside meetings here, Naidu said, “Though TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao was elected as an MP from the district, he did not care to visit his constituency to understand people’s problems nor did he attend the Lok Sabha to highlight the issues. Rao slept in his farm house. He is an irresponsible leader.
“The TRS is interested in votes, seats and money. If elected, TRS candidates will sell themselves to the Congress. They will resign again and seek elections for votes and money. In the last eight years, the TRS continued the cycle of elections and collections,” he remarked.
Naidu clarified that he had never spoken against the separate Telangana demand nor would in the future, and claimed that he had given a free hand to the Telangana Telugu Desam Forum (TTDF). But development would be possible only with the TDP, he claimed.
Attacking the TRS and the BJP, he alleged that the two parties were in nexus and were enacting a drama of fighting each other. The TDP released an audio CD containing five songs against the TRS. During Naidu’s roadshow these songs were played out.
