HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders from Andhra and Telangana are waiting with bated breath for the Centre’s official statement tomorrow on the bifurcation of the State, based on which the respective groups would need to chalk out their plans.

Andhra and Rayalaseema leaders led by party senior K Yerran Naidu left for New Delhi tonight to meet Union Home Minister P Chidambaram. They are likely to urge him not to constitute a committee with the sole agenda of dividing the State. Their Congress counterparts from the two regions are already in the national capital remonstrating against the proposed committee on bifurcation.

Meanwhile, TDP legislators from Andhra and Rayalaseema have decided to meet at NTR Bhavan tomorrow and discuss the political situation after the Centre makes its statement.

If the committee were set up with the brief to study the splitting of the State, the Andhra and Rayalaseema leader are expected to announce their agitational programmes tomorrow itself. On the other hand, if the Centre did not fix any time-frame for the committee to submit its report, the Telangana MLAs will launch an agitation pressuring the Centre to expedite separation. The party’s Telangana MLAs met at the home of politburo member N Janardhan Reddy and discussed the political situation, including the Congress High Command’s directive to Congress MLAs not to associate with the political JAC.

Though the Andhra and Rayalaseema leaders of the TDP have threatened to step up their agitation for United Andhra, some Andhra TDP leaders are of the opinion that it was better to divide the State immediately.

``The Telangana movement has reached a point of no return, even if there is a lull as of now. It will not die down.

It is better to divide the State. The capital of Andhra should be located between Guntur and Vijayawada,’’ said an Andhra TDP leader, who unsuccessfully contested as an MP in recent elections.

Ban liquior and others in Telangana for 20 years, and see the human developement in the state. Because Telanganites are from Roman and Greece race the entire family drinks liquior from early morning.Thereby, there is hardly any money left for spending on education, health and paying taxes by consumption. Moreover, they say for their problems Andhrites,Kashmiris and Assamese are responsible. Even Telangana state forms with Hyderabad with the Andhrites income, they will stop working and boozing entire days. The Telangana govt issues scholarship to students and families fro the students for boozing. Anyhow with these Roman culture these stuents and families will become IITand and IIMs and biggest corporates.
