Division process begins

 The Finance Department is quick in its work of State's division, as all its records were computerised with the implementation of Comprehensive Financial Management System (CFMS).
  "Our work on division will be over by Monday," the department officials reportedly informed Chief Secretary PK Mohanty on Wednesday.
 The Chief Secretary held "accelerated" meeting on the division work with secretaries of all 15 sub-committees constituted for the work.
  As the records of the Finance Department and some other departments were computerised, their task became easier.
  It may be recalled that the State administration constituted six major and 15 sub-committees for the division. The Chief Secretary held meeting with officials of all the committees and reviewed the progress of work and issues some guidelines.
  According to sources, there were lakhs of files in the state which have to be photo copied. Some officials informed the Chief Secretary that some files were too big and expressed inability in photo copying them. Then, the CS left the matter to the secretaries to decide as per the convenient whether to go for photo copy or digitalise them.
  However, it is mandatory for all the departments to take three copies of each file, one should be sent to archives, one for the respective section and another for the secretary concerned.
 Meanwhile, Kamalnath Committee which was constituted for the allocation of state-cadre officers will meet the Chief Secretary at Secretariat on Thursday and also hold discussions with the employees' associations.
 The All India Service Officers too wanted options and another committee for them will be constituted soon.
The district, zonal and multi-zonal employees work in their respective places. As far as state-cadre employees in the State government, the Kamalnath Committee will decide, sources said. Of the 11.28 lakh employees, the state-level officers were just 56,000 against the sanctioned strength of 84,000. The AIS officers were just 600.
