AP CM's Chamber Getting Ready in H Block

  The works for division of State are going on a fast track from Thursday. The DoPT issued principles for allocating cadre strength of AIS between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The guidelines will be framed once the new Prime Minister assumed charge after May 16.
  At Secretariat, the work commenced on Thursday to create a chamber with full security for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. A room in the second floor of the H South Block was demolished to make arrangements for the chambers of Chief Minister. The officials prepared a blueprint, a copy of which is with Express.
 As per the blueprint for the second floor of H South Block, the Chief Minister of AP's chamber will be located in a corner side. Arrangements are also going for creating a conference hall, waiting room, peshi of CM's PS, clerks and anteroom for CM and waiting halls. On the opposite side, the chambers of some of the Ministers will be located in the second floor. Accordingly, the area proposed to be utilised in H South block will be 19,720 sft each in the first and second floors.

GATE FOR T CM: Works are also going on a brisk pace for constructing the entrance for Telangana Chief Minister. The demolition of school building is nearing completion. The new entrance gate for T CM will be readied this week.




POWER ALLOCATION: In the wake of division, the Energy department on Thursday finalised the allocation of power for four Discoms.
    Currently, Ananthapur and Kurnool districts will fall within the jurisdiction of Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL) will now be reassigned to the Andhra
Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL). Accordingly, the
proportionate share of power has to be transferred from allocated share of APCPDCL
to APSPDCL.
  As per the last five years information 17.45 per cent of APCPDCL share of power is average consumption over the last 5 years in respect of Ananthapur and Kurnool districts.
 Accordingly, 8.037 % (17.45 % of allocated share of 46.06 %) of power should be transferred from
APCPDCL to APSPDCL. Hence, the allocation of power to CPDCL from various
generating stations will have to be reduced to 38.03 % from the existing 46.06%,
while that of APSPDCL is to be increased to 30.31% from the existing 22.22 %.

   “The allocated shares to the following DISCOMS as on 2.6.2014 shall be in the
following fixed ratios:

DIscom     Old      -  New  (From June 2)
APEPDCL - 15.80%  -   15.80%
APSPDCL - 22.27%  -   30.31%
APCPDCL - 46.06%  -   38.02%
APNPDCL - 15.87 % -   15.87%

The new ratio will also be applicable for all the existing PPAs in respect of all ongoing and under construction generating stations for which PPAs have been signed April 28, 2008.


CAPITAL COMMITTEE TOUR:  The five-member committee headed by Sivaramakrishnan to identify new capital for residuary Andhra Pradesh will tour for the first time in Seemandhra from May 9 to 14. The committee will tour in Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and  Guntur on May 9, 10, 11 and 12 respectively. Later, the committee will hold deliberations in Hyderabad on May 13 and 14. The time for the committee to submit its report is August, 31.

NEW TTDC: The State government on permitted Tourism Department to float a separate Tourism Development Corporation for Telangana state. The new Corporation will come into force from June 2.
